Site Waste Management Plans
In April 2008, regulations came into force which mean that any construction project (including new build, alteration or installation/removal of services such as sewerage or water) in England costing over £300,000 require a Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP).
The production of a SWMP is intended to improving materials resource efficiency, by minimising waste through re-use, recycling or recovery in other ways before disposal options are explored. It also is designed to reduce fly-tipping by ensuring compliance with existing legal controls and providing a full audit trail of any waste that is removed from construction sites.
Docklands Waste Recycling can provide a comprehensive SWMP service right through to implementation of the plan. Please contact us if you require guidance on these regulations and how we can help you meet your obligations.
